About Amy

Amy Piers grew up in the placid hills of the rural Lockyer Valley, and the calm shoreline of bayside Victoria Point, in Queensland, Australia. A prolific writer from the time she could hold a pencil, some of her favorite childhood memories involve sitting at a desk for hours, scribbling stories into notebooks. Early in life, her ambition was to become Jennie Garth or a waitress, but later relented to the idea that she was born to write. Amy's first published piece was featured in the Toowoomba Chronicle (see below), for which she was awarded the high accolade of a free Happy Meal at McDonalds.

After moving to the USA in 2010, Amy moved onto personal blogging, and ghost-writing for a Silicon Valley catering company, an Indian parenting magazine, and special needs parenting sites. She's also tried her hand at screenwriting, creating scripts for two full-length feature films, as well as a short sketch comedy series.

Amy now lives in San Francisco, California, and has called the Bay Area home for almost seven years. She and her husband, Daniel, eagerly await the birth of their first child who is due early February 2017. When she's not writing novels, Amy enjoys listening to 90s music, binge-watching terrible reality TV shows, loving everything about dogs in costumes, and drinking almond milk lattes from Sightglass.
